Herbs are soft stemmed, non woody plants which die down at the end of the growing season. In general usage, the term is understood to mean plants used for flavor or fragrance. There is such a wide variety that even a small garden can accommodate many flavorable seasonings and beautiful flowers. Most herbs are tenacious by nature and will adapt to most garden conditions and some varieties can be grown indoors. Perennial and annual herbs are available according to their usage.

As an additive to food, herbs enhance the flavor in beverages, sauces and in meats.

In medicine, for lowering blood pressure, enhancing the immune system, and soothing the stomach after meals.
