Vegetables are usually herbaceous (not woody) plants grown for food. Whether planted in the fall or summer, most all vegetables need a minimum of 6 hours of sun light per day. Most can be either planted by seed or plants. When planting make certain the time of year is correct, prepare your soil, and ensure that you have enough space for the quantity you are planting. Use plant tags or vegetable charts, usually found through your local supplier for proper planting.
